On behalf of the Board of Directors for Help End Abuse for Life (HEAL), I would like to extend a very heartfelt message of thanks to the elected leaders in our area for their public support of the efforts of the Nest domestic violence shelter.
We are proud to thank the Lincoln County Commission, the Village of Ruidoso Village Council, the City of Ruidoso Downs City Council and the Mescalero Apache Tribal Council for sponsoring official proclamations to recognize October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
We appreciate each of them emphasizing their personal commitment to ending this crime.
We stand with all those who have been affected by this terrible crime, recognize the individuals and groups who have stepped forward to break the cycle of violence and recommit to putting an end to domestic violence in America.
