HEAL has long appreciated its working relationship with the Mescalero Apache Tribe. From the day the Nest domestic violence shelter first opened in March 2007, tribal members and administration have embraced the mission of ending violence in our communities. We honor this collaboration and thank the tribal administration for allowing the HEAL Board of Directors to discuss violence against native women at their November 2013 meeting.
