The Ruidoso Valley Noon Lions Club has long been a great supporter of the women and kids living at the Nest who have had their glasses broken by an abuser. This is a very common tactic of abusers, who realize if they destroy the woman’s glasses, he will control whether she will be able to read, drive or work. Since the Nest opened in2007, the Lions have partnered with HEAL to provide a free eye exam and glasses to those women and children who needed replacement glasses. They literally help them see the world through a different lens. Thank you, Lions!
